An Indian silver tea service, Tarachund Parsram, Bombay circa 1900, chased with mythical figures and beasts to arcaded terraces, the handles and spouts formed as elephant heads and trunks, the tray rim chased with a densely populated processional scene, each piece inscribed with initials A.B., comprising teapot, milk jug, sugar bowl, associated tongs and a rectangular twin-handled tray, total weight 91.5oz, teapot height 13.5cm, tray length over handles 48cm. Footnote: This service was a gift to a British engineer working in India at the turn of the century for services rendered to a cotton mill owner, thence by descent to the vendor.
