CONDITION REPORT: This lot comprises fifteen named Rowlandson pages, together with seventeen others which are not named Rowlandson but are mostly printed by Ackermann and likely to have come from Dr Syntax tours. The lot also included seven engravings named Cruickshank with titles as follows “Dancing Dolls” and “French Musicians” both contained on one plate, “Money Hunting”, “Life Behind the Curtain”, “Dick The Captain”, “Radical Parliament” and “An Election Ball”. The Hogarth named pages are “Hudibras and The Lawyer”, Hudibras Beats Sidrophel”, both contained on one page, “Hudibras First Adventure”, “Hudibras Catechiz'd”, both contained on one page. “Hudibras Encounters The Skimmington”, “The Reward of Cruelty”, “John Wilkes Esquire”, pages representing the polling for members of parliament (2 images on one plate). An untitled engraving depicting interior scene and “Dropped Tea Service”. One other engraving “Hudibras Beats Sidrophel”. There do not appear to be any Gillray pages in the lot.
