A Shelley tea service, Crochet pattern, six cups, saucers, plates, sugar basin, milk jug and sandwich plate. CONDITION REPORT: The service is in generally extremely good condition. All pieces are in good order with no chips, no repairs and no restoration. The gilding is generally good and there is no crazing.
A Spode Copelands China "Chelsea" patterned dinner service, comprising four pairs of ashettes, twelve crescent side plates, sugar basin, two cream jugs, nineteen 10.25 inch plates, fifteen 9.25 inch plates, one 8.75 inch plate, twenty 7.5 inch plates, two 9.5 inch lidded tureens, one sauce tureen on stand, twelve 11 inch soup bowls, fifteen 9 inch dessert bowls, seven tea cups, six saucers, milk jug, three small bowls and sugar basin (see illustration).
An Adam style four piece silver tea service, London 1897/8, 1202 grams gross (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The hot water jug is in very good condition with no significant damage. There are no engravings. The handle and lid finial are rubbed but there are no breaks. The hallmarks are clear. The cream jug is in very good condition with clear hallmarks. The sugar basket is also in very good order with clear hallmarks. The teapot is also in very good condition. The handle has several old hairline stress type fractures but is not loose. There is also rubbing to the original ebonised finish on the handle and the finial. There is no engraving on any of the pieces.
A Royal Albert Heirloom pattern tea service, comprising twenty cups, twenty one saucers, four sandwich plates, twenty one plates, three sugar basins, two milk jugs and teapot (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: This set is in generally first class condition. The only exceptions to this being: teapot spout - damaged and missing, one sugar basin with substantial hairline crack. Other than this all other pieces are perfect. The gilding is in very good order indeed and the service appears to have had very little use. We think that all pieces are first quality in that there is no scratching out or overpainting on the marks. However, we do not know how Royal Albert signified their second quality pieces.
An Aynsley tea service, comprising eleven cups, twelve saucers, twelve plates, sandwich plate and sugar basin. CONDITION REPORT: One plate has a small under edge chip and a further small rim chip. Another plate has a very small under edge chip. One cup has a chip through the gilding to the foot rim, another has no gilding to the foot rim at all and no interior gilt line. One has a small 2 cm hairline crack, another cup has two small hairline cracks approximately 1 cm each in length. Another has small 1 cm hairline crack from the top rim. All other pieces are in generally very good condition with no damage, chips or repairs but all do have rubbing to the gilding around the top and foot rims.
