Domestic & Veterinary advice.- The British legacy: or, fountain of knowledge. Containing, (among upwards of two hundred other curious particulars, of the utmost service to families in general), 4 woodcut plates, woodcut illustrations in text, woodcut head- and tail-pieces and decorative initials, lacking H8, B4 short tear within text, without loss, D3 tear within text, with loss, D4 knife cut within text, without loss of text, but with small loss to margin, small wormhole within text of last 2 ff., with minor loss, corners creased, some spotting and staining or soiling, lightly browned throughout, early limp vellum, soiled and creased, [Maclean pp.16-17; cf. Bitting p.379], 8vo, Printed for Thomas Chandler, 1754.⁂ Exceedingly rare at auction, with the last copy seemingly in 1933. Includes breeding game, horses, dyeing materials, growing the tea-tree, fruit, and flowers. HAMMERSLEY, PORCELAIN TEA SERVICE LATE 19TH CENTURY twelve place setting with two sandwich plates, sugar bowl and cream jug, painted with floral sprays, gilt borders, printed marksEach piece in overall good condition. Crazing to both sandwich plates. Large hairline crack running round one. Scratches and marks to inside of bowl. Some small surface marks to the jug. Each plate in good condition. Again, somesurface marks to each. Some scratches to the rims. Slight dent to one plate. A few of the rims on the plates and cups quite rough. Additional images now available.

A George V silver four piece tea service, of oval faceted design, comprising tea kettle on stand with burner, teapot, twin handled sucrier and milk jug, the teapot and kettle with ebonised handles and knop, on shaped scroll feet by Brook & Son, Sheffield 1911 and 1912, teapot 15.5cm high, 90oz overall (4)Good overall, a few minor dings and scratches. Ebonised handle has faded on teapot and ebonised knop is missing. Burner has a different Maker (J.D & S) but no date letter, fits well though. All four pieces have engraved initials K.W to the body.

They have the appearance of having been polished/scrubbed with something abrasive. The coffee pot has some damage/loss to the ebonised handle.

An early 19th century Derby porcelain six piece tea service gilt decorated, with scrolling foliate and flowerhead motifs and scrolling foliate borders, to include six cups and six saucers, Duesbury and Bloor marks in red, (12)cup diam. 9cmCondition:Gilt decoration rubbed. Three cups with hairline cracks, one with stapled repair and visible glue. One saucer with a hairline crack. Gilt decoration fresher on two saucers.
