AN EARLY 20TH CENTURY JAPANESE EGGSHELL PORCELAIN PART TEA-SERVICE FOR TWELVE. Decorated with Samurai in combat and other figures in discussion in gardens and terracing, within gilt and hatched swagged borders, comprising: a large teapot and cover, another smaller, a two-handled bowl and cover, two plates, a slop-bowl, twelve side-plates, twelve teacups and saucers, all with iron-red three character marks. (42)Overall in good order. The cover of the sugar bowl has a small rim chip, the small teapot with a very minor rim chip to cover. There is some slight wear and rubbing to the enamels and gilding, there are some minor firing faults.

Printed marks, printed in gilding, silver and iron-red enamels with Kakiemon style flower-sprays and cranes in flight, within dark-blue and gilt lined borders. A PART CHINESE FAMILLE ROSE EXPORT PORCELAIN TEA SERVICE, QIANLONG PERIOD, 18TH CENTURY. To include a teapot, tea caddy, milk jug, two saucers, two cups, together with a lobed saucer and coffee cup. Finely painted with Mandarin figures in courtyard scenes within gilt cartouches. Qianlong period (1735-96). Teapot 20cm length. (9) One saucer repaired in two sections. Another saucer with loss to rim. Milk jug with hairline to base. The rest with no major damage, with minor nicks in places. Rubbing to gilt handles.
