A three-piece Chinese tea service, Wang Hing & Co., Circa 1900 Comprising a globular form teapot, milk jug and sugar bowl, all with faux bamboo handles and spout, the exterior sides chased and engraved with sectional panels depicting birds in flight above lily pads, blooming chrysanthemum and butterflies and birds before lotus pods, all with makers marks, teapot 13cm high, milk jug and sugar bowl 7cm high. (3) (illustrated) CONDITION REPORT: Teapot - it is possible that the cover is a replacement, although it fits tightly the hinge is no longer attached and the design is not in keeping with the design, cracking to the bone/ivory inserts at the handle, small dents and scratching indicative of age. Milk Jug - small dent to the underside of the spout, it is also possible that the area between the spout and the rim has been restored (resoldered), this is due to two vertifical line at this area, the area also appears a little thinner than the rim, minor scratching. Sugar bowl - minor scratching, otherwise sound. weight: Teapot - 19.5oz sugar bowl - 8.5oz milk jug - 7.8oz
