SHELLEY; a 'Dainty - Green Star and Fan' tea service, no.11993/9, comprising teapot with stand (af), ten tea cups, twelve saucers, a hot water jug, twelve tea plates, a milk jug and sugar bowl and two sandwich plates. CONDITION REPORT: Teapot has a chip to the spout and has several breaks throughout the base and up the spout. Remainder appears to be in good condition. For P&P please refer to Mailbox.
A late 18th century crested coffee service for the Sanders family, each piece with the bull's head crest above a garlanded shield bearing the initials TS for Thomas Sanders of Cheshunt (1773-1846) within blue bands of flowers and butterflies, comprising: tea pot, cover, and stand, a dish, a milk jug, three coffee cups and saucers (11) (D) Literature: D S Howard, records two services for the family in Volume I of 'Chinese Armorial Porcelain' on pages 422 and 525 but not this variation. Other Notes: These wares have come down to the vendor indirectly by descent. Thomas was a surgeon and apothecary, he married Ann Ullerton of Essex. Their daughter Julia married George Fletcher Walker in 1802. Their son George E Walker married Sarah Wood without issue. Sarah distributed his effects after his death in 1893. Her younger sister was the beneficiary of the current wares The dish has a chunk restored back The handle is off the milk jug and it has a star crack. Two coffee cups are restored and the third has a crack to the lower terminal of its handle. One saucer is restored
RICHARD BUDD TEA SERVICE - ROYAL WORCESTER INTEREST a tea service, each hand painted with Fruit and foliage and with gilt decoration. Comprising, Sugar Bowl and Milk Jug, Sandwich Plate, 6 cups and saucers, and 6 side plates. Each piece signed, F R Budd, and with a printed mark in green underneath. Sandwich plate 10 1/4ins (26.5cms) across. (21) *Richard Budd came as an apprentice to Royal Worcester in around 1927-28, and stayed for 4 years. Afterwards he taught china painting and did a considerable amount of work painting on 'Blanks'.
