A Worcester ovoid tea canister and cover, decorated in the manner of Giles, with gilt slightly spiralled lines with green garlands of flowers and leaves, the foot with fancy gilding, domed cover, flower finial and applied with green leaves, 17cm high, c.1765Reference: Similar to Horner of Mells Service. Condition Report: Restored cover. Wear to gilding on canister.
A Worcester The Animal Service lobed circular plate, in the style of Jeffreys Hamett O'Neale, with a lion standing by a tree looking at an otter, reserved on a `wet blue' ground within a formal gilded scrollwork border, 19.2cm diam, crescent mark, c.1770Note, Similar plate Zorensky Part II. Bonhams, Lot.171 and a tea canister Zorensky Part I, Lot 192. There appears that only one service of this distinctive design was made, it also seems that Jeffreys Hamett O'Neale painted some of them while a pupil painted others under his direction. Condition Report: Structurally okay. Wear to gilding. Some surface scratches, including one loss of polychrome to grass.
