A large and heavy three-piece hallmarked silver tea service comprising teapot, two-handled sugar and milk jug (with gilded interiors and each finely engraved and chased with scrolling foliage). The teapot with high arched-leaf capped scrolling handle with two insulators and slightly above a cast finial handle modelled as a bud. Each piece with engraved armorial depicting a standing open-winged raptor, four finely cast and textured feet terminating in scrolls and maker's mark EKR (Edward Ker Reid). (Combined weight approx.1,376 g) * Condition: Clean condition; stands on legs well; no dents.
An early 20th century Coalport porcelain tea service. Each piece hand-gilded and decorated with floral vignettes within reserves and painted impressed and printed marks to their undersides: 8 cups and saucers and 8 side plates, a 23 cm cake plate, sugar bowl and matching cream jug with T. Goode & Co. label to its underside. (19 pieces excluding saucers) * Condition: The cake plate has a chip to the footrim and some gilt wear to the rim. Glaze crazing to the cream jug, sugar bowl and one saucer, with some yellowing to the ground to the inside of the bowl and centre of the saucer. One cup is cracked and another has a rim chip. One side plate has yellowing to the glaze throughout. All other pieces in good condition, with just minor gilt wear.
