Japanese three-piece silver tea set with the inscription Oshima third generation, early 20th century. Signed with the mark of the manufacturers workshop and marked - jungin (pure silver). Consists of a teapot, sugar bowl with lids and creamer. The teapot is decorated with relief chasing of a dragon which surrounds the body and continues to form a spout with a well modeled dragon head. There is some overall surface scratching and wear, consistent with age and use. There are some cracks and discolouration to the ivory insulartor. The box with wear, scratches and some cracking. One panel on the cover is coming detached. The felt lining inside with some staining and wear.

There is some overall surface scratching and wear, consistent with age and use. There is a repair to the bottom handle junction on the teapot and another to the body behind the handle. There are some bruises. There are some cracks and staining to the ivory but no indication that the ivory has been added or restored in any way.

There is some overall surface scratching and wear, consistent with age and use. The wear is noticeable as a softening to the high points and the engraving. This is more obvious on some pieces than on others. There is some bruising overall. The finish to the wood handles is different from the finials and perhaps the finish has worn off.

Old repaired break to the finial on the sucrier cover. No other faults.
