THIS SERVICE BELONGED TO THE AMERICAN SOCIALITE ESTHER MCCREERY FROM CIRCA 1920/30'S. LIVING IN HILLSBORO, CALIFORNIA, ESTHER WOULD HAVE USED THIS TEA SERVICE WHEN SHE ENTERTAINED BOB & DELORES HOPE, DANIEL BOON, CHARLIE CHAPLIN, BUDDY EPSTEIN TO NAME BUT A FEW. IT TRAVELLED WITH ESTHER WHEN SHE WAS IN THE BAHAMAS, AUSTRALIA AND THROUGHOUT THE WORLD. MORE IMPORTANTLY HOWEVER IT WAS USED WHEN ENTERTAINING THE YOUNG PRINCE PHILIP WHEN HE ATTENDED A POLO MATCH IN THE STATES. THERE IS A PHOTO OF PRINCE PHILIP WITH THE CURRENT VENDORS FATHER AT THAT MATCH IN THE 50'S.
