England: A Bukta England, match worn white, v-neck home shirt. Worn by Sir Bobby Charlton in an unknown England fixture between 1960 and 1964. Patch England badge stitched to the front, red Number 11 stitched to the reverse. Bukta label inside collar. Sadly condition is fair as the vendor has had the shirt stored in a frame for many years. The item has been carefully removed from the frame, however there are some patches / stains where the tape was originally attached to the shirt. Please assess photographs. Additional Information: Sir Bobby Charlton (1937-2023) was an English great. 106 appearances and 49 goals between 1958 and 1970, in a glittering international career which saw him part of the famous 1966 World Cup winning squad. Born in Ashington, Northumberland, Sir Bobby spent most of his professional career at Manchester United, playing over 600 times for the club. Although we do not know the exact match this shirt was worn in, it has been narrowed down to one of twenty (20) possibilities. Provenance: The vendor won the shirt at a football event organised by the PFA in the late 1970s. Sir Bobby was present at this event and informed the vendor to not wash the shirt and instead have it framed. At the time the vendor won the shirt, he was a solictior with a law firm who acted for the PFA.
