WARTIME FOOTBALL DRAWING Excellent item and rather unusual. A souvenir of the International Football Match between Great Britain and "France Liberee" played at Parc des Princes, Paris, 30/9/44.This is a colour printed cartoon card by artist "Caza", measuring 13" x 6" and depicting the 11 French players attacking the British Goal which is valiantly defended by a single "Tommy" stood on top of a tank.. Paris had been liberated a month earlier and the card is signed by Air Chief Marshall Sir Trafford Leigh Mallory who was the Commander in Chief of the Allied Expeditionary Air Force and is also signed by Stanley Rous who was Secretary of the FA at the time although he became President of FIFA in 1961 Mallory died six weeks later when his plane crashed near Grenoble. Rather unique. Fold. Generally good.
WATFORD Scarce programme from the Great Wall Mitsubishi International Football Tournament , 1987, signed on the inside cover by Graham Taylor, Watford FC manager. Watford represented England in the Tournament staged in Nanking and Shanghai, 23rd May-31st May 1987 Other teams came from Korea, Rumania, and Japan. Good

Johansson has signed the front of his election brochure for FIFA President, Platini has signed a FIFA Congress Dinner Menu and likewise with Blatter. Also enclosed are a FIFA Congress Luncheon Menu (2002 in Seoul), a FIFA World Cup 2002 folder with official stationery inside, a UEFA Monaco 99 Football Gala Menu and a large UEFA brochure featuring the nominees for various UEFA awards to be presented at the same Gala including Ferguson, Beckham, Zidane, Wenger, Shevchenko and Schmeichel etc. Good

RUGBY UNION- ENGLAND 1906 Excellent Onyx clock with plate inscription on front stating "Presented to Mr R.Dibble Bridgwater Albion Football Club by the Town & District as a token of esteem and to mark his gaining International Honours 1906". Robert Dibble was born in Bridgwater in 1882 and made his England debut v Scotland on March 17th 1906 whilst a player at Bridgwater Albion RFC. He took part in the 1908 British Lions tour to New Zealand and Australia and made 22 appearances for England and the British Lions between 1906 and 1912 He died in 1963 aged 81 The clock measures 11" x 12" and comes with key and pendulum although it is not known if it is in working order. Asmall piece of the onyx surround has broken off but the piece is enclosed and could be restored. There have been minor repairs to the surface of the onyx over the years. As described

ENGLAND CAP 1948-49 - MATTHEWS Official England match cap, v Denmark 1948-49. Played 26/09/1948 in Copenhagen. The name written inside the cap is S.Matthews and Matthews played in the match which ended 0-0. The vendors family were given the cap by Stan Mortensen who did not play in the game , but we can only presume that Stanley Matthews gave the cap to Stan Mortensen. Stanley Matthews played 54 times for England between 1934 and 1957 The cap is dark blue with silver tassle with Denmark 1948-49 embroidered in white on the peak and Three Lions and The Football Association embroidered on the front of the cap. Condition is good. Good
LEEDS CITY AFC 1916 - HERBERT CHAPMAN Letter on Leeds City official notepaper dated January 18th 1916 and signed by Herbert Chapman who was Secretary of the Club at the time before moving on to Huddersfield and Arsenal. Leeds City were expelled from the Football League in 1919-1920 due to financial irregularities and their fixtures were taken over by Port Vale. Leeds United were then formed and joined the League in 1920-21. This is a scarce item in generally good condition. Generally good
ACCRINGTON STANLEY 61-62 The last programme produced by Accrington Stanley , v Bradford City, 03/02/1961 before they resigned from the Football League. Although Stanley played a couple more home games after this match no programmes were printed as the printers had not been paid.. This programme has score, scorers noted and fulltime scores are noted on the h-t scoreboard. No staple. Generally good
PRESTON NORTH END 1890 Excellent very scarce booklet with 16 pages entitled "North End Football Club First Eleven Matches from 1883-84 tom 1889-90. Printed in Preston in 1890, this booklet records the scores, dates and opposition of every game played by Preston North End during this period. The number of games played by the team would be unthinkable today. For example in season 1888-89 when Preston became the first Football League Champions and also won the FA Cup, they actually played 70 games and whilst unbeaten in League and Cup games, they were defeated on 9 occasions in other games losing to Celtic, Third Lanark, Queens' Park, Sheffield Wed, Sunderland , Corinthians and Bolton amongst others. The booklet has annotations inside the back cover showing results from 1890-91 to 1896-97. The booklet has a vertical fold and the back cover is a little grubby. It is complete and the name "Thomas Park" is neatly written on the inside frontispiece. As described.

Also includes 5 x FA Cup Final colour wrap-arounds from the 63, 64, 65 and 66 FA Cup Finals. Condition is generally good
TOTTENHAM Two letters to the Football League on Tottenham notepaper dated November 1964 and November 1965 Both are signed by R.Jarvis, Club Secretary and they relate to payments to the Football League Pension Scheme and detail some of the salaries including those of Bill Nicholson and Eddie Baily. Also includes 11 x 72/3 homes and last game at Park Avenue v Gt Harwood. others are mainly 71/2 programmes. Generally good-good
