THE FOLLOWING TWO LOTS RELATE TO THE CAREER OF BOBBY TEMPLETON Robert Templeton was born on 22nd June 1879 and started his footballing career with Irvine Heatherbell before joining Westmount Juveniles. Thereafter there were periods with Kilmarnock Roslyn, Neilston Victoria and Kilmarnock Rugby XI before joining Aston Villa in May 1898. In February 1903 he joined Newcastle United and in December 1904 Woolwich Arsenal. On 17th May 1906 Celtic signed the `Wizard of Dribble` and made his league debut in a match against Kilmarnock on 25th August that year. He won his only major trophies with Celtic when they won the `Double` in season 1906-07 before being transferred to Kilmarnock in October 1907. Between 1902 and 1913 Templeton made 11 full international appearances for Scotland and 3 for the Scottish League. In august 1913 he joined Fulham and after a brief return to Kilmarnock he retired from playing in 1915. THE FOLLOWING LOT RELATES TO THE CAREER OF RANGERS AND SCOTLAND INTERNATIONAL TOMMY `TULLY` CRAIG Tommy Craig made his League debut for Rangers against Clyde at Ibrox on 24th September 1923. In this match, he scored two goals and at the end of the season, he had scored a further 12 goals from 37 matches and helped Rangers to the Division 1 League Championship. More-or-less an ever-present for the Ibrox side during their fruitful period in the 1920s, Craig totalled 322 appearances for Rangers scoring 38 goals. He helped the side to 7 League Championship`s between 1923-24 and 1930-31 and appeared in 3 Scottish Cup finals, winning two winners medals. One of a rare breed of footballers who played for both Celtic and Rangers. Tommy started his footballing career with Tullibody F.C. (thus earning him his nickname `Tully` before joining Celtic in 1919. THE FOLLOWING TWENTY-FIVE LOTS ARE THE PROPERTY OF FOOTBALL HISTORIAN AND WRITER JOHN HUTCHINSON AND RELATE TO THE HISTORY OF HEART OF MIDLOTHIAN. THE HUTCHINSON COLLECTION Most of the items were collected by the football historian and writer John Hutchinson in the 1970s, mainly from George Robertson who had been Secretary of Hearts from 1899 to 1900 and a Director in the 1940s.
