Percy. G. H. Fender cricket archive:1912: A Football Team photograph mounted on a title board, ' The Casuals F.C, Winners English A.F.A. Cup 1912-13', P. G. H. Fender goalkeeper, image size 24 x 29cm.The Casuals were formed in 1883, originally made up of players exclusively of the old boys of Eton School, Westminster School and Charterhouse School, but were quickly expanded to include players from all Universities and public schools. In 1913, they defeated New Crusaders by 3 goals to 2 in the final of the A. F. A. Senior Cup, after the Casuals scored a winning goal in the final minute. The title board is partly missing. Percy G.H. Fender cricket archive: 1920: Surrey a pair of cricket pads, well used, showing signs of alterations.Fender broke his leg in five places whilst playing football. ''Fender's healed leg emerged from its plaster cast slightly shorter than his right leg. A built-up heel of spongy rubber helped disguise a minor limp and eased the pain from jarring. When batting Fender inserted an iron bar inside his left pad to give additional protection to his mended bones.'' P. G. H. Fender- A Biography, Streeton Richard, p30.

Fender cricket archive: 1920's: A Surrey cricket sweater/ jumper, brown coloured bands, embroidered Prince of Wales Feathers, bearing a Jack Hobbs Ltd, Fleet Street, London, with a red label 42 and laundry ticket S3, long in the body.Fender rarely wore what he was supposed to wear, either a team cap or sweater. Opting instead for a football goal keeper's style sweater with collar and extra long body. Streeton explains that he didn't need to wear glasses to play, or the ridiculous sweater, he chose to wear them so he would be instantly recognisable.
