THE REAL FOOTBALL Hardback book, "The Real Football", a sketch of the development of the Association game" published in 1900 and written by J.A.H.Catton (Tityrus of the Sunday Chronicle"). 214 pages , developed from a lecture given to the members of Notts County in 1890 and includes photographic plates including Messrs Alcock, Clegg, McGregor and Bentley. Blackburn Olympic plate is missing but all other plates are intact. Interesting book charting the history of the game, its formative years and the development of the professional game. The cover is a little worn. Fair- Generally good

WARTIME-INDIA 45 Printed information sheet relating to ISSECC Touring football team led by Eric Hayward of Blackpool. The sheet is signed by 18 of the players named including Yeomanson (Leeds), Powell (QPR), Hayward (Blackpool) and Rennie (Dundee). There were 25 players in the squad from many different clubs including Fulham, Portsmouth, Hearts, Arsenal, Middlesbrough (signed by Bob Hardisty), Nottm Forest, Falkirk, St Mirren, Leicester and Southampton. Interesting item as the squad played many games on the tour which lasted several months. The tour covered India, Burma and South East Asia. Good
