Ray Lambert: A 1946/47 Football League Division 1 Winners medal, awarded to Ray Lambert, a full-back for Liverpool F.C., 9ct gold, 'The Football League Champions Division 1' to the obverse; 'Season 1946/7 Liverpool FC R.Lambert' to the reverse, hallmarked Vaughton & Sons, Birmingham, weight approx. 22.2g, complete with a photo of Lambert.Liverpool won the 1946/47 season with 57 points, winning their fifth league title, ahead of Manchester United on 56. The 46/47 season was the first full Football League campaign after WW2 had taken place.
A Football League Champions Division 3 Northern Section 9ct gold medal, engraved to reverse, 'R. Jones, Port Vale F.C. 1929-30', hallmarked V&S, Birmingham 1930, together with a gilt metal Roamer Watch Co pocket watch, on gilt metal Albert chain within box.Reginald 'Roger' Jones (1902-1967), was a left-half who was born in Burslem, and was a one club man for Vale from 1923-1937, playing 326 times, scoring 19. Jones played 38 times in the 1929-30 season as they won the Third Division North.
Reuben Grice (1886-1967): A collection of five football medals, to comprise: a 9ct gold Midland Counties Football League medal, inscribed to reverse '1913-14 Rotherham County Champions R. Grice', hallmarked Vaughton & Sons, Birmingham, weight approx. 22.8g; together with four hallmarked silver medals, two marked Nottinghamshire Football Association. (5)Grice was born in Ruddington, a winger who played for Notts County, Rotherham County and Barnsley, before WWI.
Leo Dunne. Manchester City and Irish Free State. Football cap awarded to Leo Dunne for fixtures against Switzerland, played in Basel on 5 May 1935 (Switzerland won 1-0), and Germany, played in Dortmund on 8 May 1935 (Germany won 3-1). Dunne was a left-back, capped only twice by the Irish Free State - the two games for which this cap was awarded. Born in Dublin, he played for both Manchester City and Hull City. He was predominantly in the reserve team at Man City, where he made almost 60 appearances for the side before his move to Hull. Presented in a boxed frame.
