A group of Second World War Stalag 18A prisoner-of-war photographs, c.1940, Stalag 18A, Wolfsberg, Austria, comprising approximately 127 Second World War military prisoner-of-war photographs of British and other prisoners taking part in pastimes and work parties including football, rugby, swimming, dam building, and dressing up as New Zealand Maoris, complete with several related postcard-sized examples, not captured at Stalag 18a, each approximately 8 x 12cm or 6.2 x 9.3cm (qty.) Thousands of young men from the United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand were sent to fight the Germans in Greece and Crete in 1941 during the Second World War; many of the captured troops were sent to Stalag 18A. Condition ReportOverall good order. All bowed/curved. Wear and some fading throughout. The smaller snapshots seem to be all taken in Stalag 18a, however, some of the postcard images are taken in other places but are related to the group.
