WEST HAM CUP 1914 Official programme for the Final of the West Ham Hospital Football Cup, 1913-14, Clapton v Leytonstone played 18/4/1914 at the Spotted Dog ground. Before the Final, there was a boys match between North West Ham Schools and South West Ham Schools and Edmund Goldsmith played for South West Ham Schools. Eight page issue, folds, small tears. PORTUGAL v ENGLAND 1961 World Cup Qualifier played in Lisbon on 21 May 1961, autographed menu from post match Dinner held at the Hotel Avenida Palace. Shield shape with Portuguese F.A badge and Football Association logo. Signed to rear by England players Flowers, Greaves, Armfield, Haynes, Douglas and manager Walter Winterbottom. The match ended in 1-1 draw. Generally Good

DONCASTER ROVERS Scarce official souvenir handbook, 1923-24, first season back in the Football League for Doncaster Rovers who replaced Stalybridge Celtic. The fixture list reads like a Who's Who of clubs no longer in the Football League, their first games were against Wigan Borough and Ashington with games against Barrow, Bradford PA, New Brighton, Southport, Wrexham, Halifax, Tranmere, Darlington and the old Accrington Stanley to come. 40 pages with photographs, fixtures, history and pen pictures included. EDMUND GOLDSMITH Collection of four telegrams sent home by Edmund (Sonny) Goldsmith from his England Schools games at Swansea, Wolverhampton and Glasgow plus a collection of six postcards sent to him to wish him well in various games. A letter dated 2nd May 1913 written to him by the players of a school team that Goldsmith and his school had beaten is included together with a sheet of English Schools Football Association 1913-14 notepaper which was included with one of his caps (v Wales at Swansea). Some folds and tears. Fair
FOOTBALL POST - SWANSEA 1914 Four page broadsheet newspaper, The Football Post dated March 7th 1914 with reports on Wales Schools v England Schools at Vetch Field, Croydon v Swansea Town and Swansea Town v Llanelly (Welsh Cup Semi-Final at Pontypridd). The results of the Football League and Southern League are noted together with the Cup Semi-Finals and a full report on the schools International in which Goldsmith captained England and was an outstanding player. Many folds and some wear in places but legible at all times. Fair

The ball is a brown Tomlinsons Temak 18 football and the ink signatories include Bobby Moore, Cyril Knowles, Peter Osgood, Mike Doyle, Colin Bell, Alan Stephenson, Peter Thompson, Roger Hunt, Martin Peters. Various other signatures with a few a little faded. All those mentioned are legible. Generally good
