A 9CT GOLD 1981 CENTENARY F.A.CUP FINAL WINNERS MEDAL, the obverse inscribed The Football Association Challenge Cup, Winners, the rim inscribed Season 1980-81, with ring suspension. Tottenham Hotspur won the 1981 final after a replay. In the first match played on 9th May 1981, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City drew the match 1-1. In the replay played on 14th May 1981, Tottenham Hotspur defeated Manchester City 3-2. The 1981 F.A.Cup Final was indeed a memorable occasion befitting the hundredth final. Tommy Hutchinson, Manchester City`s forward scored twice in the first game, one for his own side and an equalising own goal for Tottenham Hotspur, the first man to score for both teams in a final since 1946. In the replay it was Ricky Villa who scored twice and his winning goal is arguable one of the best ever F.A.Cup final goals. The ball was won by the vendor`s mother in a competition run by `Leyland Truck and Bus Times`, win a ball used in the Emlyn Hughes testimonial.
A SHEFFIELD UNITED V. BRADFORD PARK AVENUE, F.A.CUP, 3RD ROUND, MATCH PROGRAMME, 20/2/1915 various small areas of tearing on the covers and spine, cover slightly marked. Lots 483, 484 & 634 relate to the career of Celtic, Derby County, Tottenham Hotspur and Bradford Park Avenue wing-forward Jimmy Bauchop, James Rae Bauchop was born in Sauchie in 1896 after playing for his local sides Sauchie FC and Alloa, he joined the Celtic six-in-a-row side in January 1906 and impressed at once as a "cool and effective" exponent on the right or left wing. However, he was unable to secure a regular first-team place and after brief spells on loan with Norwich City and Crystal Palace he joined Derby County. He flourished in England as an inside left-left possessing a dynamite shot and scoring numerous hat-tricks. He had further spells with Tottenham Hotspur and Bradford Park Avenue. He retired from football in 1924 were he became Bradford Park Avenue’s trainer

From research the above match is unlisted and was played just after Newcastle United`s F.A.Cup win over West Ham United and just prior to a league match against Manchester United.

* Airspeed AS-57 and AS-60 `Ambassador`. A fascinating and important archive relating to the inception, building, production, test flying and entry into service of this highly successful aircraft, the archive includes general correspondence between Major de Havilland and F. G. Miles, employment and staff details including salaries paid and personal reports, principle layout drawings of Military and Civil versions of the AS-60, AS-57 production record, flight-test reports and modification recommendations, B.E.A. flight experience reports, B.E.A. acceptance check folio, original Airspeed/F.G. Miles specification document dated April 30, 1948, de-icing trial reports for G-ALFR and for split-flap performance, a report signed by Mr Errington (test pilot) after the first passenger flight of G-AMAD dated 20-6-51, an `Ambassador` aircraft manual dated 14-6-51 being G. H. Miles`s personal copy with drawings in pencil and a quantity of similar material in original Airspeed file. Historical note: It was a British European Airways Airspeed A5-57 Ambassador that crashed on its third attempt to take off from a slush-covered runway at Munich-Reim Airport, on 6 February 1958, killing 20 of the 44 passengers, including eight of the Manchester United football team players, nicknamed the "Busby Babes". A good collection of 200+ black and white portrait postcards and photographs of music hall stars and other entertainers of the day, c. 1918-23, almost all signed by the sitter, including Vesta Tilley, Florie Forde, Stanley Lupino, Wee Georgie Wood, Will Hay, George Robey, Cedric Sharpe and many others, some a little dustsoiled and marked, contained in four modern plastic files. One photograph shows a group of people on stage, inscribed on the reverse `The Presentation of a basket of flowers to Miss Veronica Brady from the Directors & Players of the Millwall Football Club on their visit to `The Mustard Club`, New Cross Empire, when Millwall beat Huddersfield in the English Cup Tie, Jan 8th 1927.
