CHESTER - WIGAN BOROUGH 1931 Chester eight page fold out programme v Wigan Borough, 29/8/1931, Division 3 North, Wigan Borough resigned from the League during the season and their record was expunged. This was the first match of the season and the first game played as a Football League club by Chester who replaced Nelson at the end of the previous season. Chester finished in third position. Chester won the game 4-0 and Wigan only played 12 games before resigning winning 3 drawing 1 and losing the other eight including all six away games with an aggregate away game score of 24 goals to 3 against them. The programme is creased, includes half-time scores and has some slight tears along folds. Quite a historic programme. Fair

1990 WORLD CUP / ENGLAND A large photograph album which was compiled by England and Arsenal Doctor, John Crane, who assisted Bobby Robson and Physio Fred Street in the 1990 World Cup. The album starts with a warm up match against Cagliari. The album contains many unseen private photos of England players, players' wives and staff throughout the Tournament. Plus many newspaper articles, some of John Crane himself. Also includes some hotel photos and pamphlets and an official letter from the Football Association to Crane thanking him for his efforts during the World Cup. Good

The Olympics autographs are numerous with seventeen pages full of autographs from participants from numerous countries who took part in the 1948 Olympic Games held in London. Approximately 15+ autographs per page from Olympians from numerous countries, a good number from USA, China, Korea, Egypt, Canada, GB etc, many different sports, over 300 signatures. In addition many individual football and cricket autographs including Denis and Leslie Compton, Laurie Scott, Welsh, Harry Johnson, Bob Beattie, Roy Bentley, Ted Drake, Harry Medhurst, Ted Fenton and many others whilst individual cricketers include Jack Hobbs and Alf Gover.
