ENGLAND FOOTBALL: A white Umbro short sleeve England football jersey issued to commemorate England's victory against Germany on 1st September 2001, the back bearing the score, Germany 1-5 England, individually signed by all eleven members of the victorious England team, and their manager, comprising David Beckham, David Seaman, Gary Neville, Ashley Cole, Steven Gerrard, Rio Ferdinand, Sol Campbell, Paul Scholes, Emile Heskey, Michael Owen, Nicky Barmby and Sven-Goran Eriksson. Again signed to the back by the three England goal scorers, Michael Owen, Steven Gerrard and Emile Heskey. All have signed in black inks. VG England famously beat Germany 5-1 in their 2002 World Cup Qualifying match at the Olympiastadion in Munich on 1st September 2001. Michael Owen scored a hat-trick, with the other goals being scored by Steven Gerrard and Emile Heskey.
BRAZIL FOOTBALL: Selection of signed 8 x 10 photographs and slightly larger by various Brazilian footballers, all of them World Cup winners in 1958, 1970, 1994 or 2002, including Nilton Santos, Ronaldo, Juninho, Roberto Carlos, Rivellino, Jairzinho, Carlos Alberto Parreira etc. Most of the images depict the players wearing their national Brazil strip and all are boldly signed, largely to clear areas. Typical Gallery price for this painting is approximately £5500. Note: Widely regarded as one of the UK's most brilliant landsape artists. In 2013 Ruth Stage won the £15,000 Lynn Painter-Stainers UK art prize. As one of the major UK art awards, her painting was in competition against over 1000 other artists. Stage uses the ancient painting technique egg tempera, where egg yolk is mixed in with pigment to achieve a richness of colour and longlasting stability. The five judges overseeing the prize were British artist Ken Howard, The Spectator art critic Andrew Lambirth, former Lynn Painter-Staines winner Antony Williams, Tate Britain fellow Andrew Wilton and British artist Nina Murdoch. The award is one of many awards achieved by Ruth Stage which include the runner up prize in the 2006 LPS and winner of the M&G Young Artist Of The Year at The ROYAL ACADEMY Summer Exhibition (1996). Football 9ct Gold 1906-7 London League Winners Medal Barnet Alston FC (later Barnet FC), the medal has enamel city of London crest to the centre. Reverse is engraved “BARNET ALSTON FC Winners Div.1 LONDON LEAGUE 1906-7”. Hallmarks and makers mark to the reverse. Complete in medalists box. ** Alston Works AFC, later Barnet Alston FC, were formed in 1901, and became champions of the London League in 1906–07. Formed from workers at Alston Works, a dental manufacturers, they were known as "The Dentals". Their club strip of amber and black is the basis of the current Barnet team strip. In 1907 they moved to the club's current ground at Underhill, Barnet Lane. Their first match was a 1–0 win over Crystal Palace on 14 September 1907. After merging with the Avenue team in 1912 they spearheaded the new Athenian League as Barnet and Alston FC. After the First World War in 1919 they became the third instance of Barnet FC.

EARLY 20TH CENTURY BRUNSTANE RUGBY FOOTBALL CLUB CAP in deep blue velvet with gold stitched club name, the date 1903-1904 also stitched to the peak of the cap and the date 1904-1905 stitched to the rim of the hat, with gold tassel, the interior label of the cap with handwritten name of the player 'J.H. Glover', 2 3/4, retailed by J.C. Stewart, 106 South Bridge, Edinbugh', also together with printed archival newspaper information, specifically the Evening News from 1904, related to Glover and the book The Scottish Rugby Union by AMC Thorburn Note: The club was admitted to the SRU in the 1900-01 season and may have only lasted for a few years. Provenance: The vendor of this lot inherited this cap from his maternal grandfather, John H. Glover
