A George V Silver Presentation Inkstand of Irish Football Association Interest, Adie Brothers, Birmingham 1934, the rectangular stand with pen depression and holding two square cut glass detachable wells, all with Celtic knot borders, the cover to one well engraved with the initial H beneath a coronet, the other cover engraved with the Irish FA badge, the stand also inscribed To H.R.H. The Duke of Gloucester, K.G., K.P., From The Irish Football Association On The Occasion Of His Marriage, 6th November 1935, 27cm wide, 27oz 12dwt Provenance: Christie's London, HRH Prince Henry Duke of Gloucester, 26-27 January 2006, Lot 49Fully marked to stand, part marked to mounts. All marks clear. Engraving and inscriptions clear. One or two very small nicks to the edges of the glass wells.
