Set of two original vintage sports postcards, franked and with stamps1. The Sixth Far Eastern Championship Games postcard, hosted in Osaka, Japan from 21-25 May 1923, featuring jumping athletes with background of flags of Japan, USA, Republic of China, stylised Japanese writing in yellow and white. The multi-sport event was contested between China, Japan and the Philippines in eight sports - athletics, baseball, basketball, diving, football, swimming, tennis, and volleyball. 2. The Ninth Far Eastern Championship Games post stamp and postal stamp depicting blowing flag above the spectators, athletes running, and a floral ornate pattern post stamp in blue. The games were held from 24 to 27 May 1930 in Tokyo, Empire of Japan, the eight sports were contested between Republic of China, British India, Japanese Empire, and Philippine Islands. Very good condition, light staining. Country of issue: Japan, designer: Unknown, size (cm): 14.5x9, year of printing: 1923 and 1930. Original vintage London Transport poster advertising the Cup Final that took place on 27th April 1935 at Wembley Stadium. Design by Heather Perry known as Herry Perry (1897-1962) features a collage illustration of football players mid-game with their bodies formed from tickets from various London Transport routes. Printed by the Dangerfield Printing Company Ltd. The 1935 Football Association Cup Final at Webley was attended by 93,204 people, the cup was contested by Sheffield Wednesday and West Bromwich Albion, Sheffield team won 4-2.
