Football Busby Babes 27x36 professionally framed and mounted signature piece. Including legendary names such as Duncan Edwards, Albert Scanlon, Tommy Taylor, Harry Gregg, Roger Byrne, Bill Foulkes, David Pegg, Dennis Violet and Matt Busby himself. Five b/w photos mounted, and a programme page note from chairman H. P Hardman from the game against Sheffield Wednesday after the Munich disaster titled United will go on. The Munich air disaster occurred on 6 February 1958 when British European Airways Flight 609 crashed on its third attempt to take off from a slush covered runway at Munich Riem Airport, West Germany. On the plane was the Manchester United football team, nicknamed the Busby Babes, along with supporters and journalists. Twenty of the 44 on the aircraft died at the scene. The injured, some unconscious, were taken to the Rechts der Isar Hospital in Munich where three more died, resulting in 23 fatalities with 21 survivors. Good Condition. Sydney Poole, 20th century, "Football" - depicting a football match between Manchester City and Wolves, signed and dated 1947, titled on artist's label verso, unframed, oil on canvas, 61.5 x 66.5cm, 24.25 x 26.25in.Condition report: The painting is in good, original condition. There are several surface scuffs and scratches across the painting with resultant minor paint loss. The surface of the painting appears dirty and would certainly benefit from a light clean. The painting is unframed.

Original vintage sport poster for the 1982 Football World Cup (Copa Mundial 1982) semi-final game between France and Germany, held at Estadio Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán stadium in Sevilla on July 8, 1982. The match was won by West Germany on penalty kicks (5–4) with West Germany advancing to face (and loose) against Italy in the final. Thanks to its back-and-forth drama, four goals in extra time, and a dramatic penalty shootout, this game is often regarded as one of the best World Cup games of all time and West Germany's victory was the first time in World Cup finals history that a shootout determined the outcome. Original vintage movie trade ad for the 1947 Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer musical film Good News directed by Charles Walters and starring June Allyson, Peter Lawford, Mel Tormé, and Joan McCracken. Based on the 1927 stage production of the same name, the film is set in 1927 at fictional Tait College, where football is all the rage. Striking artwork by renowned caricaturist Jacques Kapralik showing Peter Lawford proposing to June Allyson while kneeling on a giant football. Lithographed In USA. Jacques Kapralik was a Romanian American caricaturist best remembered for his work with MGM in the 1940s. Born in Bucharest, Romania, Kapralik came to the United States in 1936. He specialized in designing miniature models resembling film stars, which were then photographed against backgrounds giving a three-dimensional effect. Although Kapralik's work occasionally appeared onscreen in films such as Presenting Lily Mars, most of his output was devoted to publicity materials in trade magazine ads and press kits. Kapralik died in 1960, in Los Angeles, California.Year of printing: 1947, country of printing: USA, designer: Jacques Kapralik, dimensions (cm): 31x23.5. Good condition, faint creases and cracks. Original vintage public safety poster issued by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents ROSPA featuring two illustrations showing a footballer in an offside position during a football match then riding his bike over a pedestrian crossing without stopping for the two girls crossing, the younger girl hugging the startled older girl with their books dropped on the road, the text above pointing arrows down to the man at fault with a whistle in the centre blowing out both images.
