The Following lots 768 to 780, cover the whole career of Mr John Yeates, an ex Footballer in the early 1950`s and the a referee, culminating in his appointment of the Football League from 1966 onwards. His playing career included Hereford Utd & Torquay Utd, then Birmingham & District Non League teams including Bromsgrove Rovers, before his refereeing career which culminated in an extensive League career. Wilkes & Co, Official Postcard, team groups from 1946, Derby 1946 FA Cup Winners, Walsall, Aston Villa, Arsenal, Chelsea.

1955 United Kingdom, a rare green players shirt, that was worn by Bertie Peacock in the game played at Windsor Park on 13/08/1955. The match was between a United Kindgom team against a Europe team for the 75th Anniversary of the Northern Ireland Football Association. The shirt, with number six on reverse, complete with the badge was given by Bertie Peacock to a good friend, who has kept it since that day (The United Kindgom squad was, Bentley, Sillett, Matthews, MacDonald, Liddell, Johnstone, Kelsey, Charles, Peacock, McIlroy & Blanchflower).
