1938 FRANCE V ENGLAND Friendly played 25 May 1938 at Parc des Princes, Paris. Very rare French FA 12-page newspaper style issue dated the day of the match 25 May 1938. Published by Organe Officiel De La Federation Francaise De Football Association. Includes large central page team line-ups and history of encounters between the two nations. The front cover welcome's England to France and is titled ''FOOTBALL - Cordiale Bienvenue aux Souveains d'Angleterre'' France played England as a warm up fixture for the 1938 FIFA World Cup which they hosted and began the following week in early June. This issue also has various 1938 World Cup tournament articles and previews. The French FA used this paper to announce their news bulletins including French International matches during this period. The spine has some thin clear tape for protection only. Good
WIMBLEDON - MIDDLESEX WANDERERS 1951 F.O.B One of the more unusual and more scarce Festival of Britain programmes, Wimbledon v Middlesex Wanderers, 19/5/51. Middlesex Wanderers were formed in 1905 as a Touring Xi with the aim of spreading football worldwide and players had to be invited to play for them. Wimbledon won 6-3, slight fold, score and changes noted etc. Generally good

The British army team included players from Arsenal, Manchester City, South Shields, Southend, Salisbury City. 4-Page issue which includes single sheet inside with team line-ups. Also includes 4-page issue for International Football tournament ''Le Tournoi De Paques'' which included a England X1, Belgium & Lorraine plus programme for International tournament 4 April 1920 which included Norfolk (Norwich) 13th Regiment v Olympique Lillois. Also 8-page issue for L'Olympique Lillois v Royal Football Club Brugge Friendly. L'Olympique Lillois merged with SC Fives in 1944 to form OSC Lille. Generally good
CHELSEA - WAR CUP MEDAL 1945 Winners medal for the Football League South War Cup Final in which Chelsea defeated Millwall 2-0. This was the first major trophy won by Chelsea, the Final being played at Wembley. The medal was awarded to John (Jack) McDonald who was a right winger and who scored one of the two Chelsea goals in the Final. John was a loan player for Chelsea having been loaned by Bournemouth to the London Club who played eight guest players in the Final including Black, Hardwick and Goulden and Captain Harris. The medal is gold coloured and made by Vaughtons and comes with a cardboard box as it was wartime and many items were in short supply. There is no hallmark on the medal but it is metal and gold coloured, The front of the medal reads London Football Association and there is a Cup inscribed above the London FA Coat of Arms as the London FA organised football for the senior Southern based clubs during the War. The medal has been entered by the McDonald family. Jack McDonald made 7 Cup appearances for Chelsea scoring four goals and also made 3 League appearances scoring one goal. Medal is in good condition, case has a little damage to the lid
