Early 19th Century Dutch marquetry cabinet upon bombe commode, the arch top cabinet with single glazed door, the commode base with serpentine side and front outlines, flat sidepanels and bombe front, overall with copious foliate inlays on claw feet. 110 x 61 x 206cm approx (W x D x H).(B.P. 21% + VAT) Very dry, dusty and some lifting to veneers in places. Areas of missing mouldings around drawers. Cracking to both flat side panels evident. Probably a marriage of two items.

A French Louis Philippe flame mahogany commode, the grey veined marble top above a moulded drawer and three further long drawers, on a plinth base set with a drawer, raised on bracket feet, 128cm wide, 59cm deep, 96cm high, Provenance: Barrington Hall, HertfordshireCondition report: Some old small chips to marble edges. Scratches and marks to marble. Both sides split. Fading and discolouration. Chips to veneer and moulding. Knocks to base. A solid example. General wear. Tarnish and discolouration to handles. The middle drawer pushes in too far.
A 19th century French walnut three drawer commode with rectangular top on simple shaped supports, width 103cm.Additional InformationOld signs of woodworm notably to the side panels and to the legs, the drawers are warped, also old woodworm holes to the drawer fronts, handles replaced, the top is heavily worn and split.
A George IV mahogany washstand-cum-commode, inlaid with ebony stringing and with an exploding top, restorations, damage, 61cm wide x 42.5cm deep x 85cm highCondition report: Lacking two handles, restorations, including top inside edges, veneers, including stiles and rails and position of handle above doors evident as shadow and dowelled. Front left bracket foot restored. Pull-out base now reveals a void. Exploding top reveals original interior but pull-up slide lacking plate. Chips, dents and scratches.

On slender splayed bracket feet united by a shaped apron. 107 cm wide x 54cm deep x 102 cm high.Condition report: No apparent major defects. A few small areas of missing cockbeading and some small areas of ebony stringing. The sides are good and without splitsThe right-hand side has an old horizontal gouge from something being placed along side and then dragged along the side of the chest.
