An important signed Louis XV kingwood bombe shaped Commode, by Jean Francois Lapie, applied with ornate gilt metal mounts, the serpentine breche violette marble top above three frieze drawers, over three long drawers below, above a shaped apron centred with a female mask mount, the angles applied with lion masks and foliage, on splayed legs with gilt sabots, stamped J.L. A large and impressive early 20th Century Italian Venetian commode chest of drawers. The bank of two large drawers of bombe serpentine shape having gilt brass ormolu handles to the fascias. A good caramel veined marble top that is fixed to the chest. Hand painted gilt, cream and green decoration throughout with floral sprays. Measures approx; 93cm x 126cm x 61cm.
A vintage reproduction 20th Century French walnut and marble topped commode bombe chest of drawers / sideboard credenza in the manner of French Louis XVI example. The chest of serpentine form having a tick rose marble chamfered edge top with a series of six shaped drawers below. Decorative gilt brass ormolu detailing with decorative brass handles with figures and floral accents. Quarter veneer paneling to each side with all being raised on shaped supports. Measures approx; 94cm x 144cm x 56cm.
