A mid 19th Century Italian bombé commode with marble top, the sides with diaper inlay within king wood reserves, the two drawer front with similar circular decoration on square section cabriole legs with gilt metal mounted feet, 79cm wide/see illustration CONDITION REPORT: The marble top is split front to back. Veneer lifting in places. Top drawer with split to base and missing a small piece of veneer to the centre top. Both drawers very stiff. Gild metal mounts very dull. One key present.The commode measures approximately 73.5cm high x 79cm wide x 40cm deep
A late 17th Century style oak chest fitted four drawers on square feet, 56cm wide, 70.5cm high, 45cm deep CONDITION REPORT: The top of the chest is badly stained and water damaged, both sides are split, missing lock to top drawer, bottom two drawers altered, originally one drawer, handle marks of original visible, could be a converted commode.
{} A 20th Century Marquetry and Bois Satine Gilt Metal Commode, in Louis XIV style, of serpentine shape form, with Alep Breccia marble top above floral marquetry deep drawers with foliate cast mounts and sabots, 144cm by 65cm by 87cmThe marble top has been repaired (see images). The commode will date to 2nd half of 20th century. Generally reasonable condition throughout however the top drawer has a small shrinkage split to the top left-hand corner and there is small veneer losses around the drawer front. There are also further small veneer losses throughout. End panels with very minor shrinkage split around the sunburst emblem.
A mid to late 19th century French walnut four drawer commode, the shaped veined white marble top above four moulded graduated drawers to a plinth base, height 89cm, width 117cm, depth 57cm.Additional InformationThe brass locks have been pushed in to each of the roundel sections at the front, general scuffs as you would expect throughout. A couple of tiny chips to the white marble.
French antique style Louis XV kingswood/satin wood serpentine commode/chest of two drawers, having brass ornate handles, raised on sabre legs with gilded brass ormolu mounts. 97 x 46 x 87cm approx. (B.P. 21% + VAT) Slightly faded. Some minor veneer loss in places. All handles and mounts in tact.
