A Continental painted commode in the Italian manner, the top, drawers and sides decorated with printed scenes replicating oil studies CONDITION REPORTS Has flaking and various scratches all over partly as well as a distressed look there are some splits and missing moulding however does not look too out of place. Drawers appear to have been, at the very minimum, re-lined. General wear and tear conduicive with age and use to include surface scratches, knocks, bumps etc. See images for further details.

A superb late 19th century French jewellery casket in the form of a bombe shape commode - veneered in Ringwood with crossbanding and marquetry inlays, ormolu mounts and handles - the lid opens to reveal a lined interior - width 32cm, height 20cm, depth 16cm - very good antique condition - slight veneer loss to bottom of back feet
