IMPORTANTE COMMODE « MAZARINE » en placage d’ébène et marqueterie de bois de couleurs à décor de bouquets, de vases, de rinceaux, de feuilles d’acanthe, d’oiseaux, de papillons et d’animaux divers en réserves dans des encadrements incrustés d’étain gravé, représentant des oves à décors de scènes de paysages ou de personnages (allégorie des saisons et le jour et la nuit), des rinceaux et des suites d’acanthes. Elle ouvre, en façade plate, à trois rangs de tiroirs à double coussins bombés et à pans, séparés par de petits faux dormants. Côtés à flancs lisses. Montants en pans coupés, flanqués de consoles chantournées en parties basses, reposant sur des petits pieds cambrés. Traverses basses chantournées, celle de façade présentant un clocheton décroché très découpé. Elle est coiffée d’un dessus de bois à angles en pans coupés. Elle est richement garnie de poignées tombantes, à rosaces, macarons ajourés, entrées à têtes d’homme, sabots enveloppant en pieds de biches, moulures et lingotières à décors de godrons torsadés, chutes de feuillages et cul de lampe en laiton moulé, ciselé et redoré. Travail dans le goût de Pierre Golle, ébéniste de Louis XIV disparu en 1685. Epoque Louis XIV, vers 1705/1710. H 84 L 131 P 70 cm. (Restaurations d’usage et d’entretien).
