A late Georgian mahogany bowfronted commode, with shelf and furnished interior and raised on turned legs. Height 78 cm, width 59 cm, depth 55 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The commode is in generally very good condition. The mahogany is good quality and generally well figured. The seat has some minor scuffs and liquid marks but no real problems. The piece is structurally very sound with no significant splits or cracks. There are some minor scuffs and marks around the extremities on the legs but no real problems.
A Georgian mahogany tray top commode, converted to a bedside cabinet with cupboard and drawer. Height 80 cm, width 55 cm, depth 48 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The commode is structurally sound. The gallery is in good condition all round although a little dirty and with the odd water mark. The top is flat. There are no significant cracks or splits to the top and minimal ring and water marks. The top frieze drawer runs smoothly and although very dirty inside is in good condition. The cupboard doors have nibbles around the extremities and there is a small repair to the righthand door which has been damaged by the handle at some point. The commode drawer is now converted to an actual drawer and is in good condition with what appears to be the original handle. The sides of the piece have horizontal stress fractures as does the rear. The legs are all original and in good order.
A George III Gillows style commode, raised on legs of square section. Height 73 cm, width 56 cm, depth 52 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The commode is in generally extremely good condition. The polish to the underside of the lid is lifting. The polish to all other parts which are visible is however extremely good. One cannot see the underside of the lid when down in any event. There are no splits to the panels or any of the timber, the condition really could not be better. The pine surround to the fitted interior is a little split and has some old worm holes. These are however long gone. The piece is late George III, probably circa 1830.

A Swedish Kingwood, Fruitwood, Crossbanded and Parquetry Decorated Bombé Shaped Commode, circa 1750, in Louis XV style, the antique green and dark red marble serpentine shaped top above three deep drawers with gilt metal rococo style cast handles and escutcheons above a shaped apron, 116cm by 66cm by 82cmCondition report: . The marble top various deep scratches, ring marks, pitting. With key and working lock. Generally the commode is in good condition. Some veneer losses and small bruising around the drawer fronts and the apron. Small section of timber missing on the front-right leg just to the left of the gilt mount. The left-hand side of the chest back left-hand leg has some veneer losses and also the shaped apron on this left-hand panel some faults to the timber.

Painted panels some paint losses. The paintwork also crackled and crazed from varnish (see images). Gilt metal mounts are of good quality. With key but lock needs attention (it will not lock).
French Louis XV style rococo marquetry bombe commode. With floral marquetry along the front of the drawers and top. With two drawers adorned with leaf ormolu key hole mounts. The commode rests on four cabriole legs with the front two ending in two ormolu embellishments.Height: 32 in x width: 43 in x depth: 21 1/2 in.

Dreiseitig aufwendig gearbeitet mit Ranken, Medaillons mit mythologischen Darstellungen, Münzen mit Herrscherportraits, zentralem Maskaron, sowie Schleifenbändern und Akanthusblättern aus vergoldeter Bronze. Als Abschluss eine geschweifte, profilierte Deckplatte. Hinter den Türen befinden sich jeweils zwei Schubladen. Ein vergleichbares Möbel würde bei Christie's für 85.000 GBP zugeschlagen. Diese Kommoden wurden nach der weltberühmten "commode - medaillier", einer sogenannten Medaillen Kommode für den französischen König Ludwig XV. gefertigt. Sie sind von den Slodtz Brüdern entworfen und von Antoine-Robert Gaudreaus ausgeführt worden. Das Original befindet sich im Musée de Versailles, Frankreich.
