An Italian rosewood and marquetry commode, with fruitwood and kingwood banding, the top inlaid with an oval panel of Neptune above a frieze drawer decorated with ribbon tied swags and oval portraits above two further long drawers, fitted with later handles, flanked by panels of grotesques, the conforming sides with oval panels of Venus on square tapering feet, Lombardy late 18th / early 19th century, 89cm high, 124cm wide, 58.5cm deep.
