A Charming 18th Century Cream-ware Jug, Circa 1790, transfer printed in black with rustic scenes; a shepherd sat with his dog under a tree playing a pipe, and a milkmaid & cow by gate, clobbered in yellow, green, blue & puce enamels with inscription; 'Mrs Ireland of Bannity' amidst sprays of pink roses to the front and an undulating trail of flowers along the rim, 6? ins (16 cms) in height (A/F).
A Large 17th Century Inlaid Credence Table. The circular folding top supported by a back swinging gate. The three sided front having run-moulded side rails and a central drawer with chequer inlay above arched aprons with carved flower corner spandrels. The column turned legs headed by marquetry inlaid tenons & adjoining the plinth base with canted corners & decoratively carved border. Standing 33 ins (84 cms) high on block feet. 46 ins (117 cms) wide.
A 17th Century Joined Oak Credence Table. The demi-lune top measuring 37½ ins (95 cms) in width on a triangular base with arcaded rails and bobbin turned legs united by peripheral block stretchers with a gate to the rear swinging out to support the singular drop leaf, 28¾ ins (73 cms) in height.

Martin Frank Stainforth (1866-1957) PORTRAIT OF TWO HORSES AT AN OPEN GATE signed, dated 10.27 and inscribed Ranksborough Gorse, signed again, dated 3-4-28 and inscribed Painted for Owen H Smith Esq Old Langham Hall, Langham, Rutland, further inscribed on the selvedge "This painting must not be varnished before the end of July MS 3.4.28", 62 x 88cm The artist was born at Martley, Worcestershire and after training as an engraver and illustrator emigrated to Australia in 1908. He quickly established a reputation as a painter of racehorses for prominent owners, including King George V. He later spent 15 years in New York where he painted many famous American horses. Stainforth returned to England after World War Two. Mr Owen Hugh Smith, JP (1869-1958) of Langham Rutland bred pedigree Red Poll cattle and Suffolk Punches at his model farm beneath Ranksborough Hill. ++In fine, untouched condition, the varnish yellowed with time, no holes, tears, damage or repairs, the work has not been relined and is on the original stretchers.
