Robin Furness (b.1933) "A Check - Bedale Thrintoft Moor Lane" Signed, dated (19)81 and inscribed Bedale - Yafforth Lane, also inscribed verso with the riders` names, watercolour and gouache heightened with white, 35.5cm by 52.5cm Sold with original invoice dated 22 June 1981. The picture was commissioned by Norman Nichols Esq, Fairview, Warlaby Road, Ainderby Steeple, seen on the picture by the wooden gate.

Conn Rang.), extremely fine 3022 Private George Meldrum, served on the Western Front with The 2nd Battalion, Connaught Rangers, killed in action 6.11.1916 during the First Battle of Ypres most probably when the Klein Zillebeke position was repulsed, Meldrum is commemorated on the Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial, Belgium.
