NO RESERVE Salmon (William) Synopsis Medicinae. A Compendium of Physick, Chirurgery, and Anatomy. In IV. Books, second edition, fine engraved portrait by Burnford and additional pictorial title, 18 engraved plates only (of 23, lacking plates XI-XV at end of second book), printed in double column, some light browning, old contemporary ink inscription "Liber Gulielmi. Peche" and red seal to front pastedown, contemporary calf, rubbed, rebacked with gilt spine and red label, crack to upper joint, [Wing S455], 8vo, for Th.Dawks...sold by L. Curtiss, 1681.⁂ First published in 1671 this was Salmon's first medical work, compiled while he was in practice in London near the Smithfield gate of St.Barthlomew's Hospital. A good copy of a work often lacking some plates.
The Belgian revolver Nagant was a particularly popular model in the early twentieth century in Russia and later in the Soviet Union. It was used by the Soviet army in both World Wars. For this reason, the Gletcher version was included in the “Russian Legends” series of air guns. This seven-shot revolver featured a unique cylinder that was reloaded one bullet at a time through a loading gate.

A 15ct gold opal set bracelet, the gate link bracelet set with seven oval opals, with guard chain, gross weight approx. 19.5g.Additional InformationStamped 15c to the back of the clasp. Each of the opals with some slight surface scratches otherwise good. It is not easy to measure the length of this item as it has a guard chain which means it does not lay flat. We have used a flexible dressmakers tape measure and suggest that it might be approx 17cm in length though this is not definitive.
Three French hand coloured prints, after the 18th century originals by Ridinger, 52 x 39cm, with three engravings by G. Cuitt (6).Additional InformationOne of the French engravings with watermarks to the grey mount along the bottom edge. All with general light wear to the frames. The Cuitt engravings are four images framed as three. They depict Old House in Chester dated 1642, engraving dated 1814. A House Justley Taken Down in Forest Street and dated 1809. Old Houses in Bridge Street and Chester-Old Timber Houses Water-Gate Street. All of these are plates from a book. They are all lightly browned around the edges and with some foxing marks here and there.

Pearson, Blackburn, a mahogany moonphase longcase clock: the eight-day duration movement striking the hours on a bell and having a fourteen-inch break-arch Wilson painted dial with black Roman hour numerals and typical Wilson strawberry decoration to the four corners and birds to the centre, with seconds dial, date aperture and signed Pearson, Blackburn, with decorative brass hands, the arch having a moonphase disc painted with the moon along with a seascape and landscape, the dial rear and date disc both stamped for the dial maker Wilson of Birmingham, having a mahogany case, the trunk with double finned pillars, a triple lancet-shaped moulding to the door, and satinwood panels, the hood with two fluted pillars to each corner with cast-brass Corinthian capitals, a swan-neck pediment with shaped verre-eglise glass panels, the centre being decorated with the figure of a woman, the base with satinwood panels to the edge, canted corners and standing on bracket feet, height 230cm.* Biography William Pearson is recorded as working at 2 Astley Gate, Blackburn, Lancashire until 1828 and then Holme Street circa 1834.* Notes Reference Brian Loomes Lancashire Clocks and Clockmakers Pub. G.B. A small fourteen coin cabinet with brass corner fitments and a plaque inscribed 'These 14 coins were placed in a cavity in the corner stone of the Pawnbrokers Almhouses at Forest Gate laid by The Right Honourable The Lord Mayor Sir James Duke Bart M.P. on the 22nd Day of June 1849 and were taken out by the Treasurer A.J. Melhuish Esq. when the buildings were pulled down, Henry A. Attenborough'. Together with a covering letter relating to the subsequent sale of the coins signed by A.J. Melhuish and dated 13 January 1901. The cabinet measures approximately 24cm in length, 16cm in width and 6½ cm in depth (1 coin cabinet)

Notable Features: Flippers (2), Pop bumpers (4), Slingshots (2), Standup targets (8), Spinning targets (2), 4-bank drop targets (1), Right outlane detour gate. Backglass light animation (letters in K-I-S-S light up when scored, animate during Game Over). Condition: Very good.
