A Novel, 1st ed., 1895, publisher’s list at end, a few spots, original cloth, sightly rubbed, 8vo, inscribed by the author, plus others by William J. Locke including The Demagogue and Lady Phayre, 1896, A Study in Shadows, 1896 and the White Dove, 1900, most inscribed by the author. William J. Locke (1863-1930) was a romantic novelist, with many of his works adapted for stage and screen. (35)

Plus a tray of trees and bushes. 3 good reproduction Oak, Elm and Cedar trees, plus hedge section, fir, shrub etc. Plus 8 other trees, all look original. Also 5 heavy horses, 2 horses, foal and Donkey. Trees (where original) and wheat sheaves look to be original paints. VGC-Mint.
Britains/Herald plastics farm figures and animals from the 1960’s. Mostly based on the original style castings they include 6 horse riding models, one jumping over a gate and one a jockey. Plus a ‘Black Beauty’ boxed. 14 other figures including man with pitchfork, man with brush, man with shotgun, shepherd, with lamb, man with sack, 3 ladies with buckets etc. 5 heavy horses, 2 horses, 2 ponies, 2 foals, donkey, 6 cows, 6 bulls, 7 pigs, plus a few sheep, chicken 2 sheep dogs etc. Also a few Herald- 2 heavy horses, 3 foals, 2 cows and 2 calves. A 7 shot .32” RF Reid Irving 2nd Model SA revolver, 11” overall, octagonal barrel 6” stamped on top flat “Address W Irving, 20. Cliff St NY”, with sheath trigger, upward hinging loading gate and ejector rod on right, and plain walnut grips, numbered 1256. GWO & C with dull grey finish overall. Plate 15
A 6 shot .32” RF Grant SA revolver, c 1861, 9½” overall, octagonal barrel 5” stamped on top flat “W L Grant”, number 287, with sheath trigger, walnut grips and crudely replaced loading gate and ejector rod. WO & basically GC (worn overall, one grip carved with initials, hammer spur repaired)
