A small 18th century oak gate leg table, oval, raised on turned legs with stretchers. Width 80.5 cm, length open 85 cm. CONDITION REPORT: Height 67 cm. The top is flat and not warped. It is generally a good colour and in good condition. There are numerous old scuffs and marks and various nail and peg holes to the top surface indicating very old repairs and fixings to the base. There is also an old stress fracture running across the top from left to right for approximately 56cm. This is an old crack with old filler probably caused by a peg fixing. The hinges are old but not original. There are other marks to the underside of each flap. The legs and stretchers appear to be original. The table top is held in place by a modern L shaped bracket to one side. There are also some replacement blocks to the underside of the top. The short turned feet are all a little worn and have traces of old woodworm. They do however appear to be original.
An 18th century oak gate leg table, twin drop flap. Width 81 cm, length open 97 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The hinges beneath each flap may well not be original although they are clearly old. There is evidence of further holes to the sides of two of the hinges indicating the presents of others. The table top appears to be original also. The colour around the edge is uniform and we do not think that the top has been tipped. Height 68.5 cm. As with most tables of this sort there is some warping to both flaps. With the flaps up the top is undulating. It is however serviceable.
A Georgian oak drop leaf gate leg table. Width 78 cm. CONDITION REPORT: Height 27 ins. The table top is not warped. The table is in generally good condition. It is perfectly serviceable. There is no evidence of any replacement timbers. There is minor evidence of old woodworm holes around the feet but these are not active and long gone. The metal hinges beneath each flap are probably not original. They have certainly been moved but are not problematic. There are some minor old repairs to the table but no problematic areas.
An 18th century oak gate leg table, twin drop flap, with turned supports. Width 69 cm, length open 66 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The table top is in generally good order and the centre section matches both flaps. There is no evidence of any other sets of hinges other than those currently in place. These are however likely to be Victorian replacements. All legs and stretchers appear to be original. The blocks into which the gate legs sit are probably not original. Height 68 cm.
