the oval cabochon garnet with an old cut diamond centrally in a yellow star setting, to a cartouche motif with rope twist decoration, with a locket compartment to the reverse, estimated diamond weight 0.35 carat approximately; the bangle similarly formed with a hinged plain polished back, estimated diamond weight 0.15 carat approximately; and the bracelet similarly formed with a plaque to the centre tapering to a later fancy gate link bracelet with a heart shaped padlock, estimated diamond weight 0.15 carat approximatelylength 4.8cm, inner measurements 5.9cm by 4.9cm; length 17.4cmThe bangle has a fracture to the garnet and part of the central plaque is lacking to the reverse. The brooch is in good condition. The catch on the bracelet is damaged but the piece is present. The brooch fastens with a pin and C-hook catch and features a loop to be used as a pendant. The bangle fastens with a tongue and box catch and features a safety chain. The bracelet fastens by a heart shaped padlock. The pieces are all stamped indistinctly and in our opinion would test as gold, along with maker's mark 'FP'. The padlock clasp is hallmarked with maker's mark 'CCO', Chester, 1909. The box for the brooch indicates that perhaps the brooch was girandole shape originally and with a pair of matching earrings, now later adapted.
