A George III mahogany demi-lune fitted tea table, inlaid stringing, the hinged top on twin gate supports above a fitted frieze drawer with a spoon tray, two lidded compartments and two pull-out tea canisters all with brass swing handles, on square tapering legs, 29in (73.3cm) h, 37in (94cm) w, 18.5in (46.9cm) d.
A large pair of military carved stone gate finials, 19th century, each formed as a Life Guards helmet over various flags, swords and guns and with the ‘VR’ cypher on a shield on each side 90cm square 140cm high From the Hyde Park or Knightsbridge Barracks, the home of The Household Cavalry. These formed part of the new buildings designed by Thomas Henry Wyatt in the 1880s. They were demolished in the 1960s to make way for the current range of buildings by Sir Basil Spence, completed in 1970.When the barracks were demolished the well known salvage dealer, Charlie Wearn, removed both these lots of finials; they were sold by him to the current vendor.

1923 CUP FINAL TICKET Ticket for the 1923 Cup Final, first Final at Wembley, tickets were only issued for the seats for this Final and this resulted in almost 200,000 people turning up and hoping to pay on the gate. Every Cup Final since has been all-ticket. This ticket for the North Stand seats has a very small scuff, almost insignificant and is otherwise in good condition.
