These formed part of the new buildings designed by Thomas Henry Wyatt in the 1880s. They were demolished in the 1960s to make way for the current range of buildings by Sir Basil Spence, completed in 1970.When the barracks were demolished the well known salvage dealer, Charlie Wearn, removed both these lots of finials; they were sold by him to the current vendor.
