Marcus Ford (1914 -1989) Original Oil On Canvas Depicting small fishing boats in a harbour, requires cleaning, unrestored condition, signed in sanguine oil to bottom left. Housed in later flecked gilt frame. 29 x 19.5 inches.A member of the Wapping group, landscape painter Marcus Ford was born in Forest Gate London, he exhibited mainly at local galleries and held several one man shows including three at Frost and Reeds in London. He was the president of the Upminster art society, in later life Ford moved to Aldeburgh, and painted landscapes around Suffolk and Norfolk.
