A WOODEN CHINESE JEWELLERY BOX AND A CASES SET OF SCALES, a two door one draw wooden jewellery box, detailed to the doors with carved openwork green hardstone panels, fitted with metal hinges and corner details all round with a metal scroll handle to top, the doors open to reveal three further draws each fitted with a deep blue oriental pattern fabric, the draw to the base also has the same fabric with a pull out hidden compartment, together with a lock and key, approximate height 22cm, width 15.5cm, depth 11.5cm, together with a small wooden cased set of scales with weights (condition report: some general light wear, discolouration to the outer wood may require a varnish, all doors and draws open and close with ease, overall condition good)
A Gilt Metal Mounted Chinese Imari Bowl, the porcelain Qianlong, the mounts 19th century, the bowl of fluted circular form, typically painted with flower sprays in panels, mounted with a gadroon border, rams' mask handles, triple scroll supports tied by a circular undertier, on acanthus leaf feet, 24cm highUnable to examine the rim and underside of the porcelain. However, there is a visible rim crack and a visible section of the rim is ground. Gilding on the porcelain is heavily worn. The mounts are in good condition, just with some general wear.

A VERY RARE CHAMPLEVE-DECORATED IRON 'INRO-SHAPED' WRITING SETUnsigned Japan, late 18th to early 19th century, Edo period (1615-1868)Of upright form and oval section, the hinged container cast as an inro with incised faux-cases, secured by a gilt-metal pin inserted in one of the cord holes, opening to reveal various small gilt-metal tools, including a brush, spoon, knife, and tweezers, as well as two hinged seal paste containers. The iron exterior is finely inlaid with prunus blossoms and dew drops in gilt-metal, silver, copper, and champleve enamel.HEIGHT 6 cmCondition: Good condition with minor wear and manufacturing flaws, tiny nicks, light surface scratches, few small losses to inlays, the interior with extensive traces of use, some of the gilt-metal fittings oxidized.Provenance: Formerly the property of the Strong Museum, donated by Margaret Woodbury Strong (1897-1969), a prolific collector and founder and namesake of the museum. The underside with an accession number, '75.534[0]'. The Strong National Museum of Play (known as just The Strong Museum or simply the Strong) in Rochester, New York is the only collections-based museum devoted solely to the study of play. With a metal netsuke cast in openwork as a hamaguri clam with floral and scroll decoration, attributed to Karamonoya Kyubei, who is mentioned in the Soken Kisho published in 1781. Kyubei is described as making ashtrays, Chinese-style cast netsuke and kuwara (rings used for a priest's kesa). Other designs include gourds, incense burners, eggs, and clams. Many other shapes were used for his Netsuke. Sophisticated designs such as rain dragons, arabesques, flowers, clouds, and spirals were skillfully combined to create an openwork finish. Chinese ceramics 18th/19th century, to include three decorative plates and a blue and white dish, etcCondition report: Fading and wear to gilt and decoration throughout. The small blue and vase plate have chipping to the rim and base, vase is 27cm high and plate 13cm diameter. The decorative plate with scroll and vase design has fading to the colour and decoration, chipping to the rim and a repair the rim that has discoloured glue marks, 23cm. The plate with three bird design has slight pitting from the glazing process, and roughness to the rims - fading to the design on outer edges, 24cm. The plate with the larger bird design has a chip to the rim, with heavy fading to the gilt and design on extermities. Slight discolouration on the center of the plate, 25cm . The pair of minature vases have severe loss to the rim of one and repairs to one lid, with one lid being fixed to the base. Damage and loss to the bases, with lid 13cm, without lid 11cm.

A 19th Century Chinese elm dwarf cupboard, the top with rising compartment over two panelled doors, raised on scroll feet, 53 cm wide x 42 cm deep x 55.8 cm high CONDITION REPORTS There is a split to the top panel. There are splits to the sides and back panels. Some kind of patching to both top corners at the back. Some losses throughout, particularly noticeable to the left hand side top edge and to the "dowel" on the top left hand corner where it has been filled.
