A CHINESE WHITE MARBLE FRAGMENT OF A BODHISATTVA, SUI DYNASTY STYLE, QING DYNASTY, 1644 – 1912 Raised on a circular base, the slender figure clad in elegant robes gathered in vertical pleats along the shoulders, the graceful swags falling to the ankles and terminating in double-scroll folds at the hem, the outer-robe sash gathered through a large disk at the waist, the body lavishly adorned with beaded necklaces in scalloped tiers and jewelled pendants, the partially missing hands held in abhaya- and varada mudra, the wrists adorned with large bangles, later white marble stand, areas of extensive loss, chips, minor restoration 52,5 cm high excluding stand
A 19th Century continental porcelain potpourri vase in the Meissen manner the main body of gourd form relief decorated with flowers and fruit flanked by scroll work acanthus handles and figures of cherubs around the base, bears blue under glazed mark of cross batons and letter "J" and handwritten paper labels relating to "Fulder/Johan Valentin Schaum" and an early 20th Century Chinese porcelain snuff bottle with dragon decoration CONDITION REPORTS Several areas of damage to the floral encrustations throughout. The lid has been heavily damaged and old repairs restored with staples. Side foliate handles with damage to extremeties. Main body sound with exception of wear to the gilding of the top, a couple of small firing cracks above handles and loss to the floral encrustations and various wear to the gilding around the base - see images for further detail. The floral spray handles have the ends missing although one of the ends is still present. General wear and tear commensurate with age and use. See photos fo rmore details.
A large 20th Century six fold Chinese lacquered pine screen having scroll fret work panel atop with carved flower and butterfly decoration. The lower section having carved figure scenes above engraved bird and floral detailing. Raised on square supports with gilt detailing throughout. highest item measures 176cm diameter and 170cm high.

The meiping was first made of stoneware during the Tang dynasty (618-907). It was originally used as a wine vessel, but since the Song dynasty (960-1279) it also became popular as a plum vase and got its name 'meiping'. "Qianfu/黔府" on Chinese blue-and-white porcelain refers to the Mu family. During the Ming Dynasty, the Mu family fought the North and then battled the Southwest Frontier for a long time, achieving great achievements for the Ming Dynasty.As a result, the Mu family became incredibly affluent and wealthy, holding sway over the economy and politics of Yunnan into the 1600's. Ref.: Guizhou Provincial Museum, Guiyang, China, for another blue and white piece bearing this inscription. According to the text, it is the only known example with this inscription.
