Four Chinese silk k’ossu panels, finely woven with the slits between areas largely worked in gold brocade, human figures with faces and hands painted, depicting various scenes in mountainous landscapes with building and fortifications. Second half 19th century, each panel (woven area) 40in. x 11in. 107cm. x 28cm. Some staining to each panel, slight damage to the base of one, all faded. Three now mounted in doubled sided frames in a four-fold oak screen one frame now missing, glass of two others broken, one frame loose. And a pair of Chinese silk and gold brocade k’ossu scroll panels, similar to the previous examples, second half 19th century, each panel 40in. x 12in. 102cm. x 30.5cm. Slight fading, each now mounted, framed and glazed. (6)
A Paris Sevres porcelain coffee can, depicting classical maidens adorning a statue of Bacchus in an oval panel, the mauve ground with raised gilt dots in rows, a gilt border and scroll handle, unmarked. Together with a late 18th century Chinese porcelain sparrow beak jug, decorated puce foliage and insects in European style (rim chipped) and a continental porcelain saucer with Meissen marks, possibly St. Cloud.
