A large 19th Century Chinese Kangxi revival powr blue ground antique porcelain vase having deep cobalt blue and white decoration depicting dragons and branches. The vase having a flared circular rim with scrolled band, leaf decorated neck and scroll and lotus shoulders. The base further decorated with a band of panel decoration. The chest having cinnabar lacquer red ground finish with gilt scroll and floral interspersed with medallions and foliage with a crane atop. TWO SIMILAR JAPANESE KOBE AUTOMATA FIGURES of artisans with moving arms and googly eyes with open mouths, of the late Meiji period. Together with a gilded Chinese carved wooden figure of a high ranking official seated, portrayed in the Ming style and probably Guan yu, from the late Eastern Han dynasty, overall with flowing robes and having painted decoration, natural hair, moustache, on an oval painted base, 14.5cm high approx, and a Chinese carved hardwood square shaped baluster pierced base on scroll feet. (4)(B.P. 21% + VAT) The two Japanese figures are well worn and very grubby, one lacks its operating knob and interior mechanism. Surface wear.The emperor figure is badly damaged and missing the arm to his chair and with other general chips, losses and significant wear. Very dirty, surface loss underneath his chair, crack through the base and the square platform has one foot broken off.
