Brown, 38 Nutfield Road, Narboro` Road, Leicester`, framed scroll and photograph of the recipient in uniform inscribed and dated 1913, together with a framed black and white photograph believed to be his brother during exercise (Leicestershire Regiment), thirty-six black and white postcards mostly relating to the Leicestershire Regiment, trench images and preparation for gas attacks, training exercises and group photograph etc, plus an album titled `Fragments of France 1917-1920` containing sixty-seven small black and white photographs mainly of 210 P.O.W. Company, Watten and the officers mess, Zeneghem and the 98th Company Chinese Labour Corps for the officers mess, captured Hun tank at Zeneghem, and an album inscribed `Old English Night Wylde Green Hotel, 26.Oct.44`, with eighteen black and white photographs of a theatre performance 1874 Private Frank Purrant Brown, served on the Western Front with B Squadron, Leicestershire Yeomanry from 26.11.1914, killed in action 13.5.1915, Brown is commemorated on the Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial, Belgium ()
An early 20th Century Chinese rosewood and silvery metal mounted rectangular two-handled tray, the centre with oval centre cartouche and pierced and engraved with leaf scroll and banded border, the rim with embossed L-pattern corner pieces, 28.75ins x 17.5ins, and folding stand for same with scroll supports, 27.75ins high (silver inlay to centre lifting in places), and a Chinese rosewood rectangular tray with fretted border, 22ins x 14.25ins (rim loose on one side)

A Chinese twin handled archaic style bronze censor, of rectangular form, the pierced handles leading to body decorated with masks, stylised motifs and swastikas, on four scroll legs, upon carved wooden base with pale green jade insert, width 11 cm; an Oriental brass hand warmer, 20th century, of circular form, with swing handle and decorated with stylised foliage and geometric patterns, diameter 17 cm, (2).
A FRENCH BRONZE DORE AND BLANC DE CHINE THREE PIECE CLOCK GARNITURE19th CenturyStamped 1855 Medaille d` Argent , Vicenti et Cie and “4951”, “51”. An enameled clock face with Arabic numbers sits behind a domed crystal cover with a ring of crystal beads which is supported by an open pagoda form body comprised of cast acanthus leaves and the roof a grouping swagged, graduated crystal beads. The supports of acanthus vines and allover white porcelain florettes of various species. Within the pagoda is a blanc de chine porcelain scene of seated and standing gesticulating Chinese figures having tea on a rocky mound or pleasure boat among turbulent waves. All raised on acanthus scroll feet. The companion pair of two light candelabrum are similar open pagoda style flanked by pairs of upward arching arms with bobeche and cast floral candlecups. Within one pagoda is a blanc de chine scholar seated on a recumbent buck and the other a scholar seated on a recumbent elephant.Condition: Overall very good. A PAIR OF CHINESE JADE AND SEMI-PRECIOUS STONE TREES IN CLOISONNÉ PLANTERS20th CenturyEach planter containing four branching trees with gnarly artificial trunks to which are attached carved leaves and flowers of different colors and stones, including turquoise, agate, amethyst, rock crystal, jade, and more; the trunks set into rectangular planters covered with cloisonné lotus and scroll decoration against a sky blue ground, two large reserves on the front and back depicting three small containers with more plants; all resting on four gilded bracket feet.Condition: A few leaf and petal tips broken off; one missing a turquoise berry/bud and having a new replacement one. A PAIR OF LARGE CHINESE CAMEO GLASS VASES20th CenturyEach white translucent glass vase overlaid with a layer of opaque black glass cut back to form its decoration; the shoulder having a foliate scroll design with three Chinese characters; the body with a written script and nine “stamps” around the top, five steers with shaded bodies around the middle, and a written script and four “stamps” around the bottom; unsigned.Condition: One vase with a small part of the black surface chipped off a foliate scroll; a few small extraneous dark spots on the white ground, mostly on the shoulder and lower body.
