A fine Chinese carved ivory concentric ball and stand, comprising approximately twenty carved and reticulated spheres, the exterior ball in deep relief with foliate scrolls, dragons and birds, overall surmounted by a pair of deer on a rock, two turned and reticulated balusters and warriors carved and pierced under a tree, the circular stand carved with flowers and grass on a cross hatched ground, the sides foliate scroll pierced, height 45cm. Ltd., 1970s, the pull-out extending table with three additional leaves, with a shaped foliate bas-relief carved frieze and moulded, square tapered legs with spade feet, 107½in. (273cm.) long extended, 53½in. (136cm.) long closed, 46in. (117cm.) wide, 30¼in. (77cm.) high, together with ten matching dining chairs including two carvers, of unusual form, the shaped, tapered backs with a pierced dragon scroll splat, over a panelled solid seat, on moulded square tapered front legs and sabre back legs.
