Chinese 20th Century Marbled Deep Green Jade Suspended Vase and Cover, the baluster vase featuring a shallow relief foliate design to either side with stepped square foot and cover. The vase supported by a triple link chain and a double dragon bridge. The whole suspended from a natural wooden scroll base and frame, the frame having dragon mouth to top with brass inlaid chasing dragons to base. The Jade hanging 29 cms (11.5") with frame 41 cms (16").
A fine Chinese porcelain scholar's pen rest/scroll weight, with an iron red four character Qianlong seal mark, decorated to the top en grisaille with prunus, pine and bamboo on a peach ground with inscription within a gilt cartouche, the scrolled ends in faux bois with decorated cartouche in faux marble, the underside in turquoise with four character iron red seal mark to the centre, 15.5cm long, 3cm high and 7cm wide approx.
A Chinese provincial blue and white vase, 17th/18th Century Of meiping form, rising from a swept spreading circular base, rising to a short spout and surmounted by a domed cover, the body loosely painted in pale cobalt tones, with meandering sinuous floral sprays issuing blooms, before lappet filled borders and traditional scroll borders, 25cm high. A Chinese cloisonné jardinière, Late Qing Dynasty (1644-1912) Of rounded ovoid form, raised on a spreading circular base, the exterior sides with four alternating panels filled with five-clawed dragons in pursuit of the flaming pearl and further detailed with fire scrolls, reserved against a black ground, detailed with silver wire-work orchids and lotus suspended from scrolling tendrils, between traditional scroll and ruyi borders, 23cm high, 21cm diam. (illustrated) CONDITION REPORT: large impact fracture to the yellow roundel, crack approx. 4cm in length and has penetrated the surface, extensive enamel loss to the interior small dents and mis-shaping to the footrim small dents and impact fractures visible to the exterior sides, with associated enamel loss to the interior small dents and mis-shaping to the upper rim pitting to the enamel throughout the exterior small losses to blue enamel at the interior.

A Chinese Hardwood Three-Tier Plant Stand, late 19th/early 20th century, with pink marble top above a foliate carved frieze and decorative hump-back stretcher, two tiers below, raised on square form legs with claw feet, 45cm by 45cm by 80cm Cosmetically good. Joints rather loose with some movement. Marble top with general scratches consistent with age. Scroll brackets later, but a good match. Bottom tier with natural? gaps in boards. A Pair of Chinese Blue Glazed Stoneware Models of Cockerels, late 19th century, each spirited bird on openwork integral rockwork, raised on rococo revival scroll form plinths, on ormolu bases, 42cm and 44cm high overall Cockerel 1 - upper and lower beak chipped completely off, but half. Two claws on right foot chipped off. Some small flakes, grazes, firing cracks etc to the open rockwork. Bird currently detached. Cockerel 2 - two toes on left foot - one partly knocked off, the other restored, and rear claw tip also missing on same foot. Comb has cracked off and has been reglued. Most of lower beak missing and chip to main point of upper beak. Both ormolu bases heavily worn and possibly scrubbed with abrasive material. 020615
A Pair of Ormolu Mounted Chinese Porcelain Vases and Covers, early 19th century, the blue and white Kangxi vases with slightly raised panels painted with flowers, birds and insects, in later clobbered colours and gilded, within twin dragon scroll shoulder mounts, the flared neck mounts with cast foliate detail, with fluted domed covers, on openwork Japonaiserie ormolu bases with four inscroll feet, each with Lingzhi mark in underglaze blue on the base, 73cm high Vase 1 - cover with restorations to the rim, some rubbing of gilding. Vase with signs of glue around the base (probably to hold the ormolu mounts in place). Also glue on handles and under handle mounts. Heavy glaze stain over the lingzhi mark on base. Metalwork good, but with general pitting. Glue where the neck of the vase meets the metal mounts - possibly cut down - indecisive. Vase 2 - cover rims restored, more heavy rubbing of gilding than on other cover. Vase with crack apparent through the base. Crack running through the base and through lingzhi mark. Crack noticeable in basal rim panel, extends at least 4-5cm up into the lower body. Metal mounts similar to Vase 1, but do not have vestiges of glue beneath. Both vases have some fair rubbing of the gilding throughout. 020615
A Chinese Blue and White Jar, Kangxi (1662-1722), compressed ovoid, painted with two quatrefoil panels, one with a pair of deer, the other with two pairs of wildfowl, divided by precious and Buddhistic objects, 17cm high, on late 19th century carved hardwood five-legged stand and with later foliate carved and pierced cover Repaired large flake off unglazed rim. Originally with a cover, now missing. Small glaze imperfections. The cover has various punctures and missing sections with signs of regluing. The stand is sound but signs of old regluing - and one small scroll end has been reglued on the apron. 020615
A pair of large 19th Century Chinese porcelain baluster shaped vases decorated in the famille-rose palette with cartouches and figures in an interior and with birds amongst foliage, on a gilt and floral decorated ground, each with pierced scrolling handles, 41 cm high CONDITION REPORTS Overall with wear, scuffs, various firing and potting blemishes, rubbing to gilding particularly to handles. One vase with crack from rim down vertically into neck and with large chip to rim. Other vase with some small chips to rim and to scroll handle, a few small areas of rubbing and flaking/loss to painted decoration.
