A RARE LOWESTOFT BLUE AND WHITE BUTTER TUB AND COVER of oval form, the lid, with finial, is decorated in the Chinese fisherman pattern within moulded bead and scroll designs, the tub having pierced handles has similar decoration to the exterior, also incorporating moulded flower designs, the interior is decorated with arched patterns to the rim and a single flower pattern on the base, c1760-65, 14cm x 7cm high (5.5in x 2.75in).
